So one thing that’s been great since moving to Florida had been the ability to essentially garden 12 months a year. I’ve got a meyer lemon tree, three ice cream banana trees & three ice cream bean trees. I’ll explain more on those if they sprout. But the cold front we just had gave us about 4-5 days of 20 degree and below weather, way colder than normal. Despite my best efforts, the leaves on the banana & bean trees took a beating. However, the lemons continued to ripen and the entire tree continued to thrive. We’re having a fence installed this spring and installing raised garden beds, last year we used 5 gallon buckets on an improvised rack system. Here’s some pics and video of the lister week or so trying to save the plants.
