Nurse Penny Here. As some of you saw, I crashed and burned 30min into my Friday night livestream. I had sudden onset excruciating back and belly pain. I toughed it out until today. (The pain eased over the weekend but the Nausea didn't.)
I drove to the ER around noon today suffering with another attack.
Labs revealed high lactate levels and dehydration. Later they found a high
amount of blood in my urine. We aren't sure if that's related to the belly pain or if it's a separate issue. The pain during the attacks is just beneath my breast bone, radiating to the area right under my left breast. Nowhere near my kidneys.
My doctor suspects mesenteric ischemia because my lactate level was high. They diagnosed me with lactic acidosis, which is seen in patients with mesenteric ischemia. Praying its not that, as it has a high mortality rate.
